2027 Kia EV4 GT Priced at $58,595 in Canada — 288 hp, 431 km, Factory Orders Open

The performance version of Canada's most affordable electric sedan now has a sticker. Kia Canada announced September 1 that the 2027 EV4 GT is priced at $58,595 MSRP, or $61,344 all-in once freight ($2,185), the environmental fee ($124) and other applicable fees and duties are added. The EV4 GT is available now as a factory order at EV-certified Kia dealerships.

The GT is the third of Kia's affordable EVs launched this year to receive the brand's performance treatment, following GT versions of the EV3 and EV5. It sits at the very top of the EV4 lineup — a full $6,600 above the GT-Line Limited ($51,995) that previously capped the range.

What the $58,595 buys

• Powertrain: an 81.4 kWh battery pack feeding a motor rated at 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque — the most powerful EV4 Kia sells in Canada.
• Range: a Kia-estimated 431 kilometres on a full charge. Kia notes the figure is a preliminary manufacturer estimate, not an official Natural Resources Canada rating, and that real-world range will vary with weather, battery age and driving habits.
• GT styling: neon-accented brake calipers, suede and synthetic leather seats, a GT-themed instrument cluster and 20-inch alloy wheels.
• Exclusive head-up display: the GT is the only EV4 trim that projects essential driving information at eye level.
• GT button: a steering-wheel-mounted button that delivers the booster of performance, consistent with the design language across Kia's GT models.

How the GT fits the Canadian EV4 lineup

The EV4 launched in Canada last December as a $38,995 front-wheel-drive sedan spanning five trims — Light, Wind, Wind Premium, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited — with range peaking at 552 km on the Wind. The GT trades range for power: its 431 km estimate sits below every other 81.4 kWh trim, but its 288 hp is the headline number in the showroom. Notably, the EV4 remains a Canadian-market car only — Kia does not sell it in the United States.

Buyers choosing the GT can order in five colours: Snow White Pearl, Shale Grey, Aurora Black, Magma Red and Yacht Blue. Kia says orders placed now are factory orders, meaning delivery timelines depend on production scheduling rather than dealer stock.

The performance-EV value question

At $58,595, the EV4 GT crosses into crowded territory. It asks more than a Tesla Model 3 Performance and lands near well-equipped versions of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 — vehicles with more established performance credentials and, in some cases, all-wheel drive the EV4 GT does not offer. What it offers in exchange is the most affordable path into Kia's GT treatment on an electric platform, backed by the same eight-year, 160,000 km battery warranty as the rest of the lineup.
