Tesla Supercharger Voting: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts Wins — 53 Canadian Sites on New Ballot

Tesla Supercharger Voting

Tesla has announced the winners of its latest Supercharger Voting round — 36 sites worldwide — and immediately opened a new voting cycle. For Canada, the headline is mixed: only one Canadian location made the cut this time, a sharp contrast to previous rounds that regularly produced multiple domestic winners.

Sainte-Anne-des-Monts takes the win

Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec is the sole Canadian winner in the 36-site global list. The town had appeared in earlier Supercharger Voting rounds but had never secured a victory until now. Tesla has not yet confirmed the exact site location, number of charging stalls, or construction timeline — winning locations enter Tesla's development pipeline, but past rounds show that actual construction can take years, with many winners still waiting to come online.

The full international winners list, published by Tesla Charging on X, includes sites across the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Europe, and Asia alongside the Canadian selection.

53 Canadian sites up for the next vote

The new voting round features 53 Canadian locations on the ballot, spread across the country:

  • Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia: 2 locations each
  • New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon: 1 location each
  • Prince Edward Island: no sites on the ballot

Tesla owners get five votes per three-month cycle, with a maximum of one vote per location. The program continues to focus on highway-corridor and rural coverage gaps — the same strategy that produced the 84-location Canadian slate in the previous round.

What to expect

Winning locations are candidates for future Supercharger deployment, not guaranteed construction. Based on past rounds, expect a multi-year timeline from vote to operational station, with exact addresses and stall counts announced later in the pipeline. The voting program remains Tesla's primary mechanism for crowd-sourced infrastructure planning in Canada.
