Tesla FSD and Autopilot Canada Guide 2026

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving and Autopilot features are widely discussed in Canada. This guide explains what is available on Canadian roads, pricing, hardware requirements and limitations.

Autopilot vs Full Self-Driving in Canada

Autopilot is included on all new Tesla vehicles in Canada. It provides Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer on mapped highways. Full Self-Driving is a paid package that adds Navigate on Autopilot, Autopark and Smart Summon.

  • Autopilot: included
  • Full Self-Driving: subscription or one-time purchase

Hardware requirements

All Tesla vehicles sold in Canada since 2016 include the required cameras and sensors for Autopilot. Full Self-Driving capability requires the latest hardware version. Tesla has completed retrofits for eligible vehicles in Canada.

Canadian availability and mapping

Features are enabled through over-the-air updates. Tesla limits certain capabilities where regulatory requirements differ. Drivers remain responsible for monitoring the vehicle at all times.

Pricing in Canada

Canadian pricing is set by Tesla Canada and may differ from US pricing. Refer to the Tesla Canada shop for current subscription rates.
