range2027 Kia EV3 Range Confirmed in Canada with 517 km Top Trim
Natural Resources Canada publishes official fuel consumption figures for the 2027 Kia EV3, showing 356 km for the base battery and 517 km for the long-range trims.
Kia’s 2027 EV3 compact SUV has its Canadian range figures published in Natural Resources Canada’s fuel consumption guide, with the base 58.3 kWh battery rated at 356 km and the 81.4 kWh trims rated at 517 km.
NRCan ratings ahead of launch
According to the July 30, 2026 Drive Tesla Canada report based on NRCan data, the entry-level EV3 Light with the 58.3 kWh pack is rated for 356 km (221 miles) on a full charge. The Wind, Land, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited trims all use the larger 81.4 kWh battery and are rated at 517 km (321 miles) of range.
The figures use NRCan’s standardized test cycle, which mirrors the U.S. EPA methodology but is applied to Canadian market vehicles. Kia says the EV3 will be one of its most affordable EVs in Canada, targeting a price a little over $30,000 in Canada.
Charging and platform
The EV3 rides on Kia’s 400-volt E-GMP platform, supports DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in as little as 29 to 31 minutes depending on the battery pack, and now features a native NACS charging port in North America. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, nearly 30 inches of combined dashboard displays, and an available all-wheel drive configuration are also listed for larger battery models.
Kia Canada has not yet announced final pricing for the 2027 EV3, with official pricing expected soon ahead of a fall debut.
