range2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe: Official Canadian Range Revealed — 515 km on a 106 kWh Pack
NRCan posted official Canadian range for the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe: 515 km for the GT 55 and GT 63. Peak outputs of 805 and 1,153 hp, 0–100 in 2.8 and 2.4 seconds. Canadian pricing TBA.
Natural Resources Canada has posted the official estimated driving range for the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, the high-performance electric sedan that follows the AMG GT SUV on the dedicated AMG.EA platform. Empty Tank reported the NRCan figures on October 31: both the GT 55 and the top-rung GT 63 are rated at up to 515 kilometres of all-electric range.
What NRCan posted
- Range: 515 km (GT 55 and GT 63) — GT 53 not yet listed; expected to go longer on the same battery
- Battery: 106 kWh across all three variants (800-volt architecture)
- Energy consumption: 2.3 Le/100 km combined (2.3 city / 2.4 highway)
Powertrain differences
- GT 55: Three-motor, 805 hp peak (503 hp continuous), 1,328 lb-ft torque, 0–100 km/h in 2.8 s, boost window up to 55 s
- GT 63: Three-motor, 1,153 hp peak (711 hp continuous), 1,475 lb-ft torque, 0–100 km/h in 2.4 s, boost window up to 63 s
- GT 53: Dual-motor, 536 hp peak (362 hp continuous), 590 lb-ft torque, boost window 53 s — range figure pending
How it compares in Canada
The 515 km combined-cycle figure puts the GT 55/GT 63 in the same range band as the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ (558 km) and ahead of the BMW iX xDrive50 (480 km), while the 106 kWh pack is smaller than the 128 kWh option on the AMG GT SUV. For context, the 2027 GLC 400 4MATIC Electric — a smaller, less powerful SUV on a different platform — opened Canadian orders at $78,400 starting MSRP. The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe sits well above that tier; Canadian pricing and an availability date have not been announced.
The 2.3 Le/100 km combined consumption is competitive for a 1,153 hp sedan: at a typical Canadian residential rate of about $0.14/kWh, a full charge from empty costs roughly $15. Canadian buyers should note that the 515 km figure is a combined-cycle test value; winter driving on the 106 kWh pack will realistically deliver less, and the car's aerodynamic drag from the coupe profile will matter more on highway-dominated Canadian commutes.
