FLO Launches 10¢/kWh EV Charging Rewards Program Across Canada

FLO now pays Canadian EV drivers 10 cents per kWh for eligible charging at home and on its public network, with cash payouts starting fall 2027.

FLO Launches 10¢/kWh EV Charging Rewards Program Across Canada

Quebec-based FLO has launched a new EV charging rewards program that pays drivers 10 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for eligible charging sessions, whether at home or at participating public FLO stations. The program is exclusive to Canada and enrolment is open now through the FLO app.

How the rewards work

According to FLO's official announcement, drivers earn 10¢ per kWh for eligible charging sessions with no minimum session length required. Rewards accrue immediately upon enrolment and can be applied toward charging on the FLO network starting in spring 2027. Cash payouts are scheduled to begin in fall 2027.

Eligible home chargers

Home charging eligibility is limited to FLO-branded hardware connected through the FLO app:

  • FLO Home X3, X6, and X8 — Wi-Fi connected units
  • FLO Home X5 — via its PLC (power-line communication) module
  • Not eligible: FLO Home G5 or chargers from other manufacturers

Existing owners of compatible chargers do not need to purchase new equipment. They simply pair their charger with their FLO account and enrol through the app.

For drivers without a FLO home charger

Drivers who do not own a FLO home charger can still participate by earning rewards at eligible public FLO charging stations. This makes the program accessible to EV owners who primarily charge at work, at shopping centres, or along highway corridors.

Warranty extension perk

FLO is offering an additional incentive for homeowners: enrolling an eligible connected FLO Home charger extends its standard warranty for as long as the program operates and the owner remains enrolled. This effectively provides a lifetime warranty extension on the hardware, a meaningful value-add for owners of the X3, X6, or X8 units.

What this means for Canadian EV drivers

Canada's EV charging rewards landscape has expanded rapidly over the past two years, with programs like WattsApp, RoadToEV, and Roulez Électrique Club already paying drivers a share of Clean Fuel Regulations compliance credits. FLO's entry adds a major national network to the mix, with the advantage of one of the largest public charging footprints in the country, particularly in Quebec and Ontario.

At 10¢ per kWh, the reward rate is competitive with existing programs. A driver charging 200 kWh per month at home would earn roughly $24 per month in rewards, or about $288 per year. For public charging sessions, the same rate applies, making it a useful offset for road-trip charging costs.
