Ford opened the preorder invite list for the upcoming Fathom electric pickup on October 15, 2026. Canadian pricing starts at C$42,690 before EVAP rebate, with reservations opening early 2027.
Ford has moved one step closer to launching its most affordable electric pickup for Canada, opening a preorder invite list for the upcoming Fathom today, October 15, 2026. Reservations will open early next year ahead of a 2027 launch.
Canadian pricing and preorder details
Interested buyers can register on Ford’s website to receive updates and an invitation to preorder when reservations officially open early next year. The Fathom is expected to start at C$42,690 in Canada before available incentives. The U.S. starting price is US$28,350, or US$29,945 including destination fees.
Ford describes the Fathom as a midsize pickup built on the new Universal Electric Vehicle platform designed to reduce manufacturing costs. Prototypes seen testing suggest a footprint closer to the compact Maverick, with Ford claiming more passenger space than a Toyota RAV4.
What is confirmed so far
- Lithium iron phosphate batteries with rear-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available.
- Large touchscreen with Apple Maps navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, digital key and bidirectional charging.
- Hardware for Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system on every Fathom.
