Tesla Begins Construction on 12-Stall Supercharger in Montreal's Saint-Leonard Neighbourhood
Tesla has started construction on a new 12-stall Supercharger at Carrefour Carnaval in Montreal, adding to the city's growing charging infrastructure.
Tesla has begun construction on a new Supercharger station in Montreal, Quebec, which will add 12 stalls to the city's charging network upon completion.
The new Supercharger is being built at Carrefour Carnaval, located directly off the Autoroute 40 eastbound service road near the Boulevard Langelier exit, at 6675 Rue Jean-Talon East in the Saint-Leonard neighbourhood.
Construction Follows Previous Planning Efforts
The Montreal project has been on Tesla’s radar for some time. The location appeared on Tesla’s Find Us map with an “In Development” label in October 2024, though the pin disappeared during negotiations before returning in an August 2026 update.
Construction is now underway, as confirmed by Supercharger tracker Marco RPi, who shared videos showing early work at the site.
Part of Quebec’s Expanding Charging Network
The Montreal station follows several recent additions to Tesla’s Quebec charging network:
- In March 2026, Tesla opened stations in Laval (16 V4 stalls) and Quebec City’s Carrefour Neufchâtel (12 stalls), adding a combined 28 stalls to the province.
- On September 29, 2026, Tesla opened a 24-stall station in Mont-Tremblant, which was marked as the home of its 3,000th Canadian Supercharger stall.
With the Montreal site under construction, Quebec continues to see steady growth along major travel corridors, helping to fill gaps and make longer electric vehicle trips easier across the province.
Access for Non-Tesla EVs
Like other recent Tesla Superchargers, the Montreal station will be accessible to compatible non-Tesla electric vehicles using a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter.

Quebec Parties Split on EV Strategy Ahead of Monday's Election: ZEV Mandates, Rebates and Charging Compared
5 min read
Electric Mobility Canada and AVEQ analysis shows five major parties offer sharply different approaches: Liberals and CAQ keep sales mandates at 80% by 2035, PQ targets 85% by 2034, Québec solidaire wants a 2035 gas-car ban, Conservatives would scrap the standard entirely. Rebates, home charging and MURB rules also divide the field.
