Kia Canada Will No Longer Offer the Niro After 2026

Kia Canada has confirmed it is discontinuing the Niro subcompact SUV after the 2026 model year. The nameplate will still be sold in other markets but will not continue in Canada in 2027.

The Niro was offered in Canada as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric vehicle. The PHEV was dropped earlier in 2026. The hybrid and EV versions remain listed for now but will be phased out following the 2026 model year.

2026 pricing for the final Canadian Niro models

  • Kia Niro Hybrid 2026: MSRP $30,845, about $33,730 with fees and levies.
  • Kia Niro EV 2026: MSRP $45,595, about $47,771 with fees and levies.

Where will Kia point buyers?

“With the launch of our Seltos HEV powertrain and EV3, we have the right mix within the segment to support the Canadian market,” a Kia Canada spokesperson said via email.

The 2027 Kia Seltos hybrid is forthcoming in Canada with pricing still to be announced. The new Kia EV3 launched in Canada for 2027 with a starting MSRP of $36,995, starting around $40,000 with fees and levies included.
