Best EV Deals in Canada (October 2026)
Find the most affordable electric vehicles in Canada for October 2026, including the Fiat 500e Pop, Nissan LEAF S, Kia EV3, and more, with savings up to $8,000 and federal EVAP rebates.
October brings a wave of affordability to the Canadian EV market, with manufacturer discounts stacking on top of the federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) to bring ten models under the $40,000 mark before tax. From city cars to compact SUVs, buyers have more choices than ever to go electric without breaking the bank.
Top 10 Affordable EVs for October 2026
The 2026 Fiat 500e Pop leads the pack after an $8,000 discount from Stellantis, reducing its $42,290 MSRP to $34,290. Factoring in the $5,000 federal EVAP rebate (applied after tax), the effective pre-tax price in Ontario comes to $29,826.
The incoming 2027 Nissan LEAF S follows at $33,541 after EVAP, benefiting from its $34,998 MSRP as Canada’s lowest-priced EV before incentives—no discount needed.
Kia’s 2027 EV3 Light FWD sits at approximately $35,319 after EVAP, while the larger EV4 variant is around $37,022.
Chevrolet offers two entries: the 2027 Bolt LT at roughly $39,045 after EVAP, and the 2027 Equinox EV LT FWD at $39,723 in Ontario when combining a $5,000 manufacturer discount with a $1,000 cash-only incentive and the EVAP rebate.
Completing the list are Toyota’s C-HR and bZ models, the Kia Niro EV, and the Hyundai Kona Electric Preferred, each available near $40,000 with manufacturer discounts between $2,000 and $5,000.
Bigger EV Discounts for October
For those willing to spend more, substantial incentives are available this month. Honda provides $12,000 in Customer Incentive Dollars on the 2026 Prologue EX, EX-L, and Touring trims (valid through November 2) after taxes. Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 Preferred Long Range receives $5,000 off before tax through the same date.
Kia offers a $6,000 Fall Bonus after tax on the 2026 Niro EV Wave, with the Niro EV Wind getting $4,000. Toyota provides $10,000 after tax on the 2026 bZ Limited and bZ Woodland trims through November 2.
Nissan is offering a $10,000 cash purchase discount before tax on the Rogue PHEV. Ford’s 2026 Mustang Mach-E Select AWD includes a $1,500 delivery allowance, which—combined with EVAP—lowers the effective Ontario price from a $48,090 MSRP to $42,126.
Where Does Tesla Fit?
Tesla’s absence from the EVAP-supported list stands out: the Shanghai-built Model 3 Premium RWD starts at $39,490 but is ineligible for the federal rebate due to EVAP’s country-of-origin rules. Conversely, the Germany-built Model Y RWD qualifies for the full $5,000 EVAP incentive.
Note that EVAP’s maximum rebate decreases to $4,000 on January 1, 2027, making October an advantageous time to secure the current $5,000 level for eligible vehicles.
