2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback Priced From $48,998 in Canada
Mitsubishi announces the starting price and Canadian launch timeline for the 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV, with federal rebate eligibility.
Mitsubishi has announced a starting price of $48,998 for the 2027 Eclipse Sportback electric crossover in Canada. The brand says the model will make its Canadian debut in November, marking its return to battery electric vehicles in the country.
Price and warranty
The base price puts the Eclipse Sportback under the $50,000 cap for the federal Electric Vehicle Affordability Program, qualifying buyers for the full $5,000 rebate in 2026. Quebec shoppers can add a provincial rebate of up to $2,000.
- Starting MSRP: $48,998 CAD
- Five-year/100,000 km new vehicle warranty
- 10-year/160,000 km powertrain and battery warranty
- Five years of unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance
Powertrain and charging
Mitsubishi says the Eclipse Sportback shares a 75 kWh battery with the redesigned Nissan LEAF, with a rated range up to 454 km. Home and Level 2 charging use a J1772 port, while fast charging uses a built-in NACS port with a CCS adapter offered by dealers.
Model positioning
The Eclipse Sportback is positioned as a Nissan LEAF alternative. The Nissan 75 kWh LEAF S+ is priced from $45,198 in Canada with an estimated range of 488 km, undercutting the Mitsubishi by $3,800 on paper.
Adding the Technology Package raises the price to $54,098, though Mitsubishi has not detailed its contents.
What’s next
The Eclipse Sportback kicks off Mitsubishi’s Momentum 2030 plan to roll out at least one all-new or heavily reworked model annually through 2030.
